I know, I’m a terrible blogger. I had all these wonderful and exciting plans for content this year and have produced practically zilch. The truth is, I applaud anyone that can get married, move and renovate a house, work full-time and still manage to blog on the side. This year has been TOUGH. I’m not gonna lie and say there was no time, because my Netflix ‘continue watching’ section will tell you otherwise, but I did need a little break. My health was so poor last year, it drained me mentally and physically, and with everything else going on this year… well, I’ll just stop with the excuses and say once again, I’m a terrible blogger.
The positive side to all of this is… I am SO ready to get back into this. I have a tonne of ideas for posts. I’ve added the Olympus E-PL8 to my camera collection so I can take more photos while I’m out and about. I’m also getting back into renovating the house, so I have a few room makeovers coming your way. Not to mention the fact that I have some more travel inspiration to throw at you when we go on our honeymoon next month. So much content, hurrah!
We lost a family member last month and it made me realise how short life can be, but also how I want to document as much as possible. Making memories is so important, and as much as I like to write for others, I do this mostly for myself. It’s a cathartic experience to be able to log your thoughts, but in times of grief, you also realise how important it is to be able to look back on the times you shared with someone. Expect more of my ramblings and documentary style posts from now on. Whether you like it or not!
